A varistor should be installed in parallel across the coil terminals to mitigate the surges that are induced.Select a varistor with a voltage rating that is approximately three times the rated voltage of the coil.

Polarity Note: Contact terminals are non-polar, but coil terminals require polarity.If the coil voltage is sustained or diminished during operation, the positive terminal must be linked to the specified pin.
